Trump vs Bernie 2020

Trump Vs. Bernie is a hilarious live comedy experience that stars Anthony Atamanuik as Donald Trump and James Adomian as Bernie Sanders. The two debate in venues across America in a town hall-like setting where they go head to head on the most pressing issues facing America.

There’s nothing like a hearty beer to keep you warm when it’s cold out. Add a whole host of arcades to fill your button-mashing fix, and you have a combo fit for a winter wonderland. Join Barcade on January 15 as they highlight specialty beers made for the season. The tap list will include a wintry mix of delicious strong, rare, vintage, and seasonal beers.

Airplane Mode Residency ft. GB, Jillesque, C-Minus + more

$10 || Jan 15 || The Hi Hat

Join The Gaslamp Killer as he brings yet another edition of Airplane Mode to the Hi Hat on York. This month, the sonic adventure will take you to the sound of acclaimed producer Gifted and Blessed, DJ C-Minus, and LA beat scene mainstay Orijanus. Doors open at 9 pm, and the sounds won’t stop until late. This is definitely a show your ears don’t want you to miss out on.

A Special Ganja Yoga LA: A Cannabis-Infused Ritual

January 22 || 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm || Donation of $33 || Purple Lotus Massage and Wellness

This will be a special evening of combining the medicines of cannabis and rapé (pronounced ha-PAY), which is a Shamanic tobacco blend that is blown up the nose with a tool by the medicine carrier, Nick Landers, a dear friend and soul brother.

Marisa will then integrate intention setting, yoga, movement, laughter, mantras, music, sound healing, and breathwork to create a space for both personal and community journey work, as well as sacred play.

Rio de Los Angeles Habitat Enhancement

Free || Jan 25 || Rio de Los Angeles State Park

Help restore the landscape of Rio de Los Angeles State Park, through planting native plants and maintaining restoration sites by removing invasive species, watering, mulching, and more. Help us create sustainable habitat for birds and other wildlife, and beautiful open space for all to enjoy! Be sure to bring lots of water, sun protection, and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty! Gloves and tools will be provided, although volunteers are welcome to bring their own as well. Please remember to bring water and wear sun protection, close-toed shoes, and layers.
