Coffee Connoisseurs Go Get Em Tiger To Join Figueroa’s Trendiest Block

Figueroa’s coffee scene is getting a major upgrade.

Early birds and caffeine fiends, rejoice! Figueroa’s coffee scene, which has long been neglected in favor of hip coffee haven York Blvd, is about to get a major upgrade in the form of LA favorite Go Get Em Tiger. Housed in the same short stretch of Figueroa as the notoriously hip Triple Beam Pizza and Highland Park Wine, the coffee shop will provide their beloved signature drinks and curated breakfast and lunch menu to the Northeast LA community.

Armed with a voracious and well-deserved cult following, the LA-based coffee outpost currently has locations in Los Feliz, Larchment Village, and forthcoming in DTLA, with the Figueroa location clocking in on the smaller side at about 1000 square feet, with a pared-down menu that will highlight customer favorites, such as the Almond Macadamia Latte and Pan de Sol Breakfast Sandwich. Co-owner Kyle Glanville, who is a Highland Park local, has expressed a desire to keep the operation as local and community-oriented as possible, emphasizing that they will be hiring from within the surrounding community whenever possible.

Presumably, GGET will share the sweet outdoor patio space that connects Triple Beam Pizza and Highland Park Wine, inspiring daydreams of leisurely summer mornings sipping iced coffee concoctions, chowing down on chef Ria Dolly Barbosa’s creative comfort food, and soaking up the summer sun. Expect an opening in the coming months at 5916 N Figueroa St.
